“Trust is driven by relationships. The key to diversity is inclusion, we strive to include minorities in conversations, not as a statistic, as a human being.” – Tiffany Whitlow, Co-Founder & CDO of Acclinate

As the co-founder and chief development officer at Acclinate, Tiffany has been preparing for this role for what seems like a lifetime. Born to an interracial couple, Tiffany was given up for adoption because of her mixed race. She has understood, from a very early age, what it meant to be marginalized for reasons beyond her control. As a result, she was always concerned with not having a complete picture of her family background. That lapse in information became increasingly critical with the birth of her son. Even with her professional experience in business development and management, she has always thrived in any capacity that allows her to give a voice to those who often go unheard. In her position with Acclinate, Tiffany has become a visible and vocal champion for minority populations.

Leadership of a company like Acclinate, which was founded to enhance the diversity of clinical trials, calls for bold and imaginative decision making. Tiffany is not afraid to disrupt the status quo. Her relentless drive to see tangible improvement in areas like diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially as it relates to clinical research, is unmatched. Likewise, under her leadership, the company was chosen to participate in both the inaugural Bronze Valley Gener8tor Accelerator and the Cox Enterprises Social Impact Accelerator Powered by Techstars. Acclinate has also become a trusted partner to organizations like Pack Health, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

Though Tiffany leads an understandably busy work life, she makes it point to prioritize time with family and friends. So, when she’s not in the office, you can likely find her cheering on the sidelines at one of her son’s athletic events or whipping up a delicious supper for her husband.
